Look here to find out, where I am in the world today, what I'm up to, and what's on my mind. Whatever is only relevant to Danes will be in Danish. Other stuff I'll post in English.

I am bursting with anticipation!

I am waiting for replies on four different job applications. I fancy my
chances on all of them. I am an eternal optimist, bordering the naïve.
Stockholm (.se), Struer (.dk), Vejle (.dk) and Uxbridge, London are the
different places I might have to go, if I am invited for interviews in all four places.

My schedule is quite tight, because on the 12th of June I leave for
Istanbul (10 days) and then Beirut, where I am attending the wedding of Rania, the sister of
my dear friend Chafic. So unless the interviews can
be carried out before hand, it will be July before I can progress with
my job hunt.

Tomorrow, I should be wiser...

Nurturing my network

I have been spending a lot of time lately on LinkedIn.com, and that way I have re-established contact with a lot of former colleagues and friends Greaf stuff!

Hopefully they can guide me in my job hunt! Especially since my reach is globalising.

Objective No. 1: Getting it. The Job.

I have few worries in my life, but the ones I have are weighing me down a good deal.

Hard work and perseverance has given me these fine diplomas and degrees to be flaunted, but so far I haven't been able to bag that first real job yet. I spend a good amount of time searching for it, and though I have always said that it shouldn't be difficult to find a job - certainly not for the best candidates - I have actually proved myself wrong.

I don't know who to blame, if any, still I wonder why. The state of the economy is not at its best, nor is it at its worst, but that fact has not spoken in my favour - especially since I have been applying mostly outside "we're all right here" Denmark. I might be the one to blame. You can always do more, but eventhough I could have sent more applications and at times been more persevering, it is a hard job getting a job. But, the hunt has to continue untill I am successful - any time soon!

What to expect of this Blog?

I am a Dane with friends all over the world, and since Man was stupid enough to build The Tower of Babel, I find myself in a difficult place. What language should I post in?

I have as many foreign friends as I have Danish.

I want to please everyone.

I would feel funny communication with my Danish friends and family in anything but Danish, but then only they would understand.

Still, most speak English, many speak Danish and fewer speak French, so I guess I'll have to make a choice.

What would you recommend?
