Now working for Bang & Olufsen

I finally found the right job! On the 1st of August I started in the position as eMarketing Manager for Bang & Olufsen - you know: Music systems, TVs and telephones - all with amazing design. B&O's HQ is in Struer in the NW of Denmark, which is why you find photos from my new flat in Struer below.

The job is great! Anyway, that is my impression so far, though I've only been there 13 working days. Responsability is increasing, I am getting hands-on work to do and I am learning a tremendous amount of stuff about this uniquely interesting international brand icon.

My responsability is, as my title indicates, to manage the online marketing communications of Bang & Olufsen, both through the website www.bang-olufsen.com, and through e-mail and online advertising. Sounds like a lot, but unfortunately the responsability is not mine alone. I am part of a team of four others - incl. my boss - who do our best to push the boundaries of what can be done in eMarketing.

This is a new position. So I can actually shape my own job a bit. I see challenges, posibillities, hard work and potentially success. I'm all smiles!

Give it up for the cave men!

I was just reminded that the Royal Danish Coat of Arms is quite a funny example of heraldic.

Dig the cave men! I wonder why it was decided let a couple of half nude, bearded dudes hold the royal danish coat of arms. It gives a whole new meaning to the expression: "Going clubbing".
